Wright's book is filled with financial statistics of the city, a guide to the city, and some political philosophy. Wright himself led a troubled life, going bankrupt through multiple investment failures. However, the author is remembered as a significant urban booster of the city and a predictor of several societal changes that Chicago witnessed during the nineteenth century. Very Good.
