Junius was the pseudonym of an English author who contributed numerous articles to the newspaper Public Advertiser. His letters were marked by bitter sarcasm and caustic mockery of several noblemen and of King George III. This resulted in a libel suit against the Public Advertiser which the Advertiser won, marking an important moment in the history of the free press. The authorship of these letters is still a mystery today, but the impact Junius had on British politics and journalism remains significant. Very Good. Item #000010452
