Borel is an important figure in mathematics from the end of the nineteenth century into the early twentieth century. He is best known for his early work in measure theory and his pioneering contributions in developing the modern theory of functions of a real variable. The present book covers some of Borel's results in the latter field and was significant enough to warrant the issue of a second edition in 1914. A sharp copy of this important early work by an outstanding mathematician. Very near Fine. Item #000011724
