With a Russian colophon. Illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of Marx. Translated into English by Martin Milligan. Published shortly after a later Russian edition done in 1956. The Foreign Languages Publishing House was organized in the Soviet Union and operated from 1946 until 1964. This volume is one of many that the publisher produced, translating Marx's oeuvre into several different languages for a wider readership. With an appendix by Frederick Engels: "Outline of a Critique of Political Economy". Draper ST/M29. In 1964 a revised version of this edition was done by Dirk Struik.
