Illustrated with several full-page and in-text black and white engravings, several of which are of Otto Von Bismarck at various moments during his long career. Number 2700, published for March 30th of 1895. Harald Fischer Verlag, "Illustrirte Zeitung". With several advertisements for local businesses (musical instrument stores, photographers, book publishers, doctors, among other small businesses). This newspaper contains an exposé on Bismarck's life on his estate in Friedrichsruh. By this time Bismarck was elderly with his health worsening every day. He had been in forced retirement for a few years due to Emperor Wilhelm the II's displeasure with Bismarck's politics and social views. The Illustrated Newspaper issued its first periodical in 1843, and until 1944 functioned as a weekly periodical focused on national news. Very Good. Item #000012802
