Beautiful marbled endpapers and pastedowns. Printed in Paris but the text in Italian (the work's original language). Encyclopedia Britannica, "Gerusalemme Liberata: Work by Tasso". Tasso was a poet of the late renaissance, and wrote in Italy. This work is by far his most famous one. It is an epic poem that tells the story of the capture of Jerusalem from the Turks during the First Crusade. Good. Item #000012884
