Illustrated with a color frontispiece and nine additional color plates of birds' eggs, beautifully done. Our copy's title page states 1890, the copyright page states 1889. The book is at least an early printing if not the first edition (at the time of cataloging this writer was unable to locate an image of a title page that stated 1889 on it). With a discussion of the characteristics of eggs from loons, gulls, terns, the albatross, and numerous other birds found on the continent. Very Good or better. Item #000014420
