This was Alinksy's final publication before his death in 1972. The author was a hugely influential American social activist, and his methods for community organizing influenced later activists like Dolores Huerta and Cesar Chavez. According to Matthews, the Vox journalist, Alinsky's tactics would also influence the organizational methods of the American Tea Party movement.
