Illustrated with several in-text diagrams on how to properly pluck the banjo, with music included for the banjo player. Also with black and white photographs and drawings of men and women playing the banjo, including a photograph of a Black woman playing the banjo (taken in 1856 according to the photographer credit). The second edition of Pete Seeger’s guide to banjo playing, limited to 3,000 copies. The first edition was mimeographed and sold in two printings of 100 and 500 copies respectively. A classic how-to guide for the banjo from one of the greatest American folk musicians and one of the true ambassadors of the art form. Very Good or better. Item #000015480
