Tan-grey endpapers and pastedowns. Illustrated with a frontispiece, full-page and numerous in-text illustrations (over 300 total illustrations, all in black and white). Ahearn APG 034c - 034d. BAL 3411. BAL Intermediate State B, without the illustration on page 441 but with the earlier state caption on page 443. A very pleasing copy of Twain's autobiographical work. Very Good or better. The front hinge cracked and two leaves with a moderate tear (no loss of text), a few leaves with a small tear to the bottom margin (not affecting the text).
