St. Augustine of Hippo was one of the most prolific Latin authors, and lived and wrote during the end of the western Roman Empire. His work is enormously influential on most denominations of Christianity. His writings would shape the early and late Middle Ages, as the western world moved away from Greek and Roman ideals to a worldview centered on Christianity and the teachings of the church. ESTC notes that the work in this volume is in fact spuriously attributed to the Bishop. Very Good. Item #000017207
