Includes a map, a plan, and eight black and white steel-engraved plates. The final two plates in the book are bound out of order and face different leaves than the ones for which the list of illustrations calls. The frontispiece lacks the tissue guard, and the plate on 436 also lacks the tissue guard. Both pastedowns have lists advertising the other books published by Longman.
