Washington D.C. Various, ca. 1925 - 1950. Pamphlet. Six brochures, each a pictorial folded sheet (folded into three sections). Brochures for the rates of the rooms of The Maury Hotel [ca. 1925], Hotel Grafton [ca. 1937-1941], Senate Hotel [ca. 1935], The Martinique Hotel [ca. 1939], The Lafayette Hotel [ca. 1950], and The Burlington Hotel [ca. 1940]. Five of the brochures have small promotional flyers which advertise special discounts on the room rates pasted to the front fold. Marken & Bielfeld, Inc. cited as the printers of The Martinique Hotel Brochure. The brochures contain photographs of the lobbies, the dining rooms, and the lodging rooms of the different hotels. The different services advertised include garage parking, "all night" parking, breakfast, lunch, dinner, running water, air conditioning, single and double rooms, and family suites. Every brochure except for that of The Lafayette Hotel contains a map in the interior folds, showing the traveler the best way to drive to the hotel in the downtown D.C. area.
