From the title page: "General Washington's account of expenses during the Revolutionary War, in his own hand writing, is on file in this office: -- the annexed is a fac simile copy thereof." A facsimile record of Washington's account of the expenses he incurred fighting the British. He was not compensated for his services during the Revolutionary War, but according to the title page, was reimbursed. Gephart 6980. Sabin 101546. An important, early account of the resources required to maintain the U.S. Army, and an example of Washington's dedication to the fight for independence. Good. Item #00008586
