According to the volume, this book was the first English publication in fifty years to explore the history of Greek terracottas. Professor T.B.L. Webster was an archaeaologist and a classics scholar at the University College of London. This book is from the library of Bruce Bryan, a curator of archaeological artefacts for the Southwest Museum in southern California. Bryan was also an archaeologist for the Los Angeles Field Museum of Natural History (Legacy Obituaries, "Bruce Bryan").
