Illustrated by a frontispiece and seventeen additional plates, photographs of where Nichols was born, lived, and photographs of a few portraits of him throughout his life. First Four Seas Press edition (the true first being published in 1912). George Nichols dictated his autbiography when he was 80 years old, this autbiography covers his seafaring life at the end of the eighteenth century and the beginning of the 19th century.
