Lund [Sweden]: Carl Gustav Berling, 1749. Later edition. Hardcover. 12mo. 8 cm x 14 cm. [17], 2-170, [6] pp. Half calf over marbled boards, binding is early nineteenth century. Title page with publisher's device, first page of text with a woodcut headpiece. Text in Swedish. The margins of some leaves are trimmed, not affecting the text, but affecting some catch words and signature marks. Bishop Carstenius was born in Finland in 1612 (Geni.com). One holding of the 1718, 1742, and 1749 edition each on OCLC, all in the Swedish National Library. A Scandinavian religious text, highly difficult to find, with a register at the end of the volume (of Bible verses and an index, not a family birth and death date registry). Very Good. A Very Good example with a few early nineteenth century annotations on the pastedowns and rear flyleaf, occasional small corner crease.
