The most complete version of Guevara's recollections of the war, with some of the essays in this book previously published in Spanish and French before this publication in English. Here the Latin American revolutionary figure recollects his experiences of fighting guerilla warfare and of orchestrating Cuba's socialist revolution. Guevara believed a complete social revolution was the only remedy to abject poverty that he witnessed in Central America.
